Topic: Should illiterate people be given the right to vote?

Most of us have been facing problems with the vocab section in VA. We do come across umpteen number of words but the effort of looking their meanings up seems tedious to us docile creatures.
So, here's a section dedicated to vocab where certain servile pupils shall post new words and their meanings with a usage. Your contribution shall be appreciated.

Let's get started:
lampoon v. 1. Ridicule with satire
n. 1. A composition that imitates or misrepresents somebody's style, usually in a humorous way
syn: burlesque, charade , parody

General Awareness

Let's start off with the area of Corporate etymologies (in sync with our aspiration)

How did the following companies get their names?

1. Arcelor
2. Coca-cola
3. Adobe
4. Google (this one should be easy)
5. Reebok
